Lindbergh launches the ReGenesis project to supply 100% recycled and tracked materials

Temera among project partners for the refinement of recycled materials and their traceability at every stage of the process

Pescarolo ed Uniti (CR), 17 September 2024Lindbergh S.p.A. (EGM:LDB), a group active, among others, in the Waste Management and Circular Economy sector, announces the launch of the ReGenesis project, an innovative initiative in the field of sustainability and traceability of recycled materials in the luxury sector.

The ReGenesis project aims at the construction of traceable supply chains for the refinement of production waste and waste from unsold or defective articles, with the purpose of producing and supplying to each customer new materials with a declared content of 100% traceable recyclate, i.e. related to waste originally produced by the customer itself or by its subcontractors and subsequently managed by Lindbergh itself within its own special waste management projects.

The traceability of the process is guaranteed thanks to the upcycling solution of Temera, a leading traceability company in the fashionluxury world and new official partner of Lindbergh.

“The ReGenesis project is based on a unique approach to monitor the entire life cycle of materials, ensuring maximum transparency and reliability throughout the production chain, supporting an extremely concrete vision of a Circular Economy.” – declares Lisa Tavazzani – the creator – thanks to her many years of experience in the field of materials applied to the fashion and design sectors – of ReGenesis and now alongside Lindbergh as Project Director.

Lindbergh makes use of technological solutions to optimize the logistical, documental and digital management of all the recovery processes of the waste produced, unused raw materials and production waste, guaranteeing the traceability of all processes and the reintroduction of waste materials into production cycles.

“With ReGenesis, the aim is to provide our customers with innovative recycled materials, accompanied by clear and verifiable data on the recycling content and origin of the new raw material, as well as on the environmental performance of each company involved in the processing and production chain. We see the ReGenesis project as a natural complement to our complex industrial waste and production waste management services, especially for the manufacturing sector” – declares Michele Corradi, CEO of Lindbergh.

The project will see the collaboration of major players covering the different stages of the finishing process.

Among the most important partners involved is Temera, a leader in IoT solutions for the Fashion/Luxury Retail sector, has been selected by Lindbergh as a partner for the provision of services related to digital tracking, not only of the life cycle of the finished product, but also of each stage of the process of collection, recovery and upgrading of waste that will then give rise to recycled materials.

“Becoming part of such a valuable ecosystem as the one that led to the creation of the ReGenesis project is for us a source of great pride, but also a sign of the goodness of the investments made over the years to ensure the transparency and sustainability of the supply chain through our solutions. Being selected by a partner like Lindbergh is for us a source of great pride.”

The project will also involve leading companies in the production of polymers and advanced materials, with the aim of integrating technical know-how and expertise with the production flow of the ReGenesis Project. These materials, including high-quality recycled polymers, are currently being applied in a wide range of sectors (including fashion and luxury) and will complement the use of other sustainable materials recycled by Lindbergh, ensuring higher quality and lower environmental impact.
